A resource to explore
Thinking Styles
Explore 11 common thinking styles with an interactive reflection tool and a free illustrated printable guide.
About this resource
Thinking styles are familiar patterns in how we interpret experiences. The guide introduces 11 patterns and invites you to notice which ones show up for you. The purpose is curiosity about your thinking, rather than labelling every thought as wrong.
How to use this resource
- Read through the styles and choose one that feels familiar.
- Notice a recent example, including what was happening at the time.
- Explore the online tool or note your reflections on paper.
An everyday example
After one awkward moment, “I always get everything wrong” might be an example of overgeneralising. You could notice the pattern and describe that one moment more specifically.
For reflection and learning. These resources complement individual support and are not a diagnosis or a replacement for therapy.
