A resource to explore
Recognising my coping patterns
Use a free printable coping patterns worksheet to notice familiar responses to difficult feelings and situations.
About this resource
This worksheet invites you to recognise ways you cope when things feel difficult. A response can bring relief in the moment and still have costs over time. Noticing that pattern is a starting point for understanding what support or alternatives might help.
How to use this resource
- Circle examples that you recognise and add any of your own.
- Consider what each response does for you in the short term.
- Bring an example to a session if you would like to explore it together.
An everyday example
Putting off a difficult task may bring immediate relief. Later, the unfinished task might create more pressure. You can note both parts without criticising yourself.
For reflection and learning. These resources complement individual support and are not a diagnosis or a replacement for therapy.
